Pianegonda Sponsors Lecco Film Fest 2024: Women of Cinema Awarded
Pianegonda has successfully concluded its attendance as an official sponsor of the fifth edition of the Lecco Film Fest. The event, held July 1-7 and organized by the Fondazione Ente dello Spettacolo and Cinematografo.it, and promoted by Confindustria Lecco Sondrio, celebrated freedom, this year’s central theme.
The festival offered a rich program of meetings, talks and screenings with some of the most influential figures in Italian and international cinema. Pianegonda took center stage with its creations during the Lucia Award ceremonies, an award given to talented women film professionals. Among the honorees were Donatella Palermo (producer), Barbara Ronchi (actress), Margherita Buy (actress and director), Alice Rohrwacher (director) and Esmeralda Calabria, who received special recognition as the winner of the Lecco Film Fest’s Special Award at the Film Impresa Prize, promoted by Unindustria.
One of the most anticipated events was the surprise arrival of Marco Bellocchio. On Saturday, July 6, the famous director presented the restored 4K version of his film “Sbatti il mostro in prima pagina” and introduced the film “Volare” by Margherita Buy, who connected live, narrating herself to the audience starting from her beginnings.

Pianegonda‘s presence at the festival not only celebrated the narrative and symbolic power of jewelry, which can express stories and emotions with the same intensity as a film scene, but also underscored the brand’s commitment to supporting art, freedom of expression and creativity.
The festival’s “Lady Liberty” theme explored the engagement of women in film, highlighting how they have won new spaces of expression and freedom. Festival guests contributed to reconstructing the semantics of the word “freedom,” analyzing its meaning and its declinations in art, business, political and social engagement, and the daily life of communities.
The festival also offered mentoring and training for first-time filmmakers by helping them present their works to experts in the field, and Pianegonda could not avoid this support by helping to promote talent and innovation in the world of art, culture and design.
